If you've heard the New Orleans Funk compilations on Soul Jazz you should know you'll love this too, because it features a lot of the same artists - like Lee Dorsey, Betty Harris, Robert Parker, Eddie Bo, and The Meters. There's not a weak track here - this is soulful, groovy and funky all the way. Absolute top-notch stuff, and at this price it can't be beat, so if you ever felt the urge to investigate New Orleans (and I recommend you do) then this is the perfect place to start.
